pThe Atlantic Wall was: pThe Atlantic Wall was part of Hitlers plans for Germanys defences during the Second World War. He wanted his country to be self-sufficient and not dependant on the rest of the world. The barrier was completed in stages between 1940 and 1944, but was left incomplete at the end of the war.
